Our facilities are the envy of many clubs in the county and beyond. And that envy is not limited to GAA clubs. It is not by accident however that our pitches, pavilion and memorial garden remain in such good condition. It is down to the sheer hard work of our Pavilion & Pitches volunteers. This year it has been particularly challenging to maintain the high quality of service, due to retirement, illness and injuries. We are desperately in need of more  volunteers to share the workload, particularly in the areas of marking out the pitches, which can be a cumbersome task if dependent upon just a few personnel.

To ease the burden somewhat, the club has invested in a new line-marking machine which will halve the time it takes to mark out a pitch. Crip Moran will be giving a demonstration of the machine in action to volunteers and interested parties at 7pm on Tuesday 11th November at the pitches.

If you are interested in supporting your club by volunteering (and getting a little extra exercise), text your details to 07928 472 528 and I will get you added to the Volunteer WhatsApp Group. Or turn up on Tuesday evening and see if it appeals to you.
