Intermediate Championship 2003-10-11 10:20:10It wasn't the start St Paul's wanted to this semi-final replay when Madden scored a goal in the first minute. Brian Fitzsimmons had to make a spectacular save to stop them going two goals up three minutes later. St Paul's settled in to the game and Gerard McCorry put the ball over the bar in the fifth minute but Madden scored a point in the sixth to take a (1-01) to (0-01) lead. Things then went St Paul's way with points from Thomas Stevenson (2), Shane McConville and two frees from Ronan Skelton before Madden scored another point. When the whistle went for half time St Paul's were one point up. Dessie fox came on for Conor Devlin in the 27th minute who picked up an injury. Madden equalised in the opening seconds of the second half but Thomas Stevenson put St Paul's ahead in the 37th minute with a point. Madden levelled it again in the 38thand then scored three points to take a (1-07) to (0-07) lead. St Paul's were not to score again and Madden sealed a victory in the 54
